Roofs to Roads Colorado

The Roofs to Roads Project was launched in February 2009, after two years of planning and initial work. Roofs to Roads is working in the public interest with support from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, Pollution Prevention Advisory Board, Advanced Technology Grant, from Boulder County Resource Conservation Division's Community Outreach Program, and from Region 8 of the Environmental Protection Agency.

Our Goals:

Keep 100% of Colorado's Waste Shingles Out of the Landfill !
240,000 TONS of asphalt shingles landfilled EVERY YEAR in Colorado, 12 million tons nationally.
PROCESSING for re-use:
Shingles are ground and used in asphalt mixes for paving roads.
MARKETS and Use of RAS:
Establish an ongoing market, with municipalities and CDOT writing specifications that allow or mandate the use of Recycled Asphalt Shingles (RAS) from Tear-Off or demolition shingles.

Brannan has implemented a $50 tipping fee per load. You must purchase a "Pit Pass" at the main office prior to being able to tip at the tipping site. Pit Passes are available 9-4 weekdays.

You must give a copy of the asbestos results for the load you are tipping to the gate keeper in order to tip. This is true for every load.

There is currently no cost to deposit your shingles.

Hours are from 7:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. If you need to drop off shingles on Saturday, contact Gary to see if the plant will be operating.
